In the modern-day of cycling, road riding is becoming increasingly gruelling for the wrong reasons with more and more uneven road surfaces popping up, busier roads with longer ques and often uncalled for abuse from aggressive car drivers. The good news? There's a much more enjoyable way to rack up the mileage whilst still riding at speed with Cérvelo's Áspero. This latest design from Cérvelo brings a fast and furious riding style to gravel riding with a bike that's not just roaming the trails but it's more than ready to tear them up, reaching KOM speeds with a road race style construction. Cérvelo created the Áspero's frame by adapting their road racing riding base, remaining true to Cérvelo's aero heritage that finds the perfect blend of a lightweight, yet stiff frame, and makes the most of every ounce of power that you put through the pedals. Fitted with a game-changing front thru-axle called the "TrailMixer" that offers you the ability to run both 700c and 650b wheels along with a wide range of the most common tyre sizes so that you can find the best fit for your trail needs whilst maintaining top-quality handling at all times. Finally, Shimano's GRX 810 1x groupset offers smooth and reliable shifting for your weekend long trail adventure, removing any chain dropping issues with a smart 1x system that still provides plenty of gear choice to tackle all terrain efficiently.

Explore The Trail And Your Limits
Cérvelo's Áspero is not simply designed for pottering around the family off-road cycle routes whilst enjoying some friendly conversation whilst you catch up with an old friend. The Áspero redefines riding on the beaten path, as rocks fly up behind your rear tyre and any sight of you is lost in a cloud of gravel dust. Cérvelo has taken their road race-winning frame and stripped it down, building it back up again to outperform any traditional gravel bike made before it. The frame finds the perfect blend of hill climb smashing weight advantages and rugged durability to deal with anything that off-road cycling has to throw at it. It also remains aero, as is Cérvelo's heritage, to ensure any KOM segments out the way of the road are appropriately dealt with.
TrailMixer Thru-Axle Design
Cérvelo loves the adaptability of the traditional gravel bike, quickly switching from the fast-paced 700c road wheel to the beefy 650b mountain bike wheel. However, Cérvelo is not so keen on the handling benefits that you miss out on when you make such a change. This is why they have engineered a unique thru-axle that adapts to your choice of wheel and tyre size. They call it the TrailMixer and it ensures that no matter what setup you think is best for the day ahead, the bike still handles as confidently and puts the same smile across your face.
