Cervélo Caledonia Ultegra Di2 Disc Road Bike

Introducing Cervélo's latest creation, their brand new niche ride that's ready to transform the world of cycling with a fresh design into a market that's been highly neglected for far too long. The Caledonia meets your latest needs, needs you didn't even know you had until Cervélo released the Caledonia! The Caledonia is a bike with so much potential when you consider that it's design is a cross between Cervélo's fan favourite Aspero and there well known R range, bringing you a bike that's fast on the road AND has the ability to take tyres with a width of up to 34mm, allowing you to ride over the cobbles of Paris Roubaix with more speed and comfort than ever before. To bring the Caledonia into it's own league, Cervélo put hours into researching and testing the best tube shapes possible to make this ride both aerodynamic whilst also super light in overall weight to allow you to fly up the climbs as you ride through the mountains all day long. The Caledonia ticks all the boxes, simply perfect for your next sportive or even that cycling trip you've got planned with your pals. Cervélo created the Caledonia with integrated mounts that keep you aero, ready for lights and mud guards so that you can equip correctly for the weather any day of the year, keeping your mileage consistent even in the worst of winters. Designed with a bottom bracket that has been dropped to enhance the stability if you've chosen to ride with larger tyres, ensuring every watt you push is used to propel you forward faster. The Caledonia has also been created with a front derailleur mount that can be removed easily so that replacements can be performed with ease or even let you swap out for a 1x system instead. This Caledonia is equipped with a Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset for swift and agile shifting, keeping your riding smooth and blissful all day long. To provide you with unparelled stopping power, the Caledonia also features hydraulic disc brakes so that you can stay in full control even when the unpredictable weather up in the mountains catches you out- the Caledonia has got you covered.

The Caledonia

Caledonia doesn’t fit in a box nicely, and Cervélo like it that way. It was conceived on their Thursday night rides -routes that often play fast and loose with ‘road ride.’ As they tried to stuff bigger tyres into their R5s and streamline their Asperos, a new kind of bike was born, the Caledonia. Modern road riders are looking for bikes to handle long distance, high pace, no limits and offer maximum fun. By placing lower modulus carbon in key areas to mitigate the brittleness of hi-mod fiber—the bike isn’t delicate. It is made for the way you ride and accommodates 34mm tires or 31mm with fenders.

Race-Bred

When Cervélo design a bike, they start with our library of tube shapes. These shapes are shapes they’ve used on other models that they know to have various qualities—aerodynamic, stiff, ultralight, etc.—and they help get Cervélo to the refinement stage on a bike more quickly. In the case of Caledonia, Cervélo wanted durability, light weight, and aerodynamics to be in balance, and selected a package that achieved the performance demands of this kind of race bike.

Inspired & Refiend

Caledonia uses a standard round bar, stem and seat post, giving riders the option to build their ultimate ride without compromise. Integrated accessory mounts and hidden fender mounts keep the bike’s refined lines so you can ride with lights and computers in a downpour and still look fast. Because we all know if it looks fast, it probably is.
