Cervélo P5 Disc Triathlon & TT Bike Frame

Cervélo went back to the drawing board to bring you the brand-new P5 frame. Through market-leading engineering the new P5 frame mould weighs in at just 1100g and is designed to deliver on short and long TT courses. To allow for this result, Cervélo has made the frameset a massive18% lighter, the head tube 22% stiffer and the bottom bracket a further 26% stiffer to help take the P5 to new heights. Cervélo's P5 frame is also designed for disc brakes, a dramatic change from rim brakes. The benefit? Not only does it improve the aerodynamics of the P5 but it also gives you a more effective and reliable braking system for safety in challenging conditions and more control on technical courses. Disc brake compatibility has allowed Cervélo to increase the tyre clearance, meaning the P5 is now compatible with 28mm tyres which also lowers the bikes overall rolling resistance. Finally, the P5 features Cervélo's Speedriser aerobar design which means there's no more wires or cables passing through the headset spacers, making travelling easy and adjustments simple.

FEATURES

TECHNOLOGIES

Speedriser

The Speedriser, developed by Cervélo for the P5x, quickly and efficiently allows you to raise or lower the aero bar with a 4mm Allen key. This is a big move forwards from the old design which had cables and wires passing through the headset spacers making it a real pain to adjust. Now you can adjust on the go!

Bigger Tyre Clearance

Anyone who rode the previously designed P5 with Magura brakes will have known how little tyre clearance there was, limiting it only to 23 and 25mm tyres. If the weather got bad, the lack of clearance made for quick tyre rubbing and damage to the frame. However, thanks to the new disc brake design, the new P5 can now clear up to 28mm tyres meaning lower rolling resistance, more versatility and less damage to the frame.
