Felt's well renowned FR racing bike has earned its reputation time and time again over the years. With high-quality handling and the ability to climb as well as it can descend there are many reasons this bike is a firm favourite within the cycling community. Designed as an all-rounder, the FR was tiresomely tested and researched until Felt created the perfect combination for the most committed of road cyclists so it's ready to win from battles of will to tactical pursuits when out on the race course. Felt designed the FR to be the best-performing platform in the world for all road racing conditions. Using multiple different and unique techniques to create the FR's carbon layup, a frame that is not only incredibly stiff and designed to maximize pedaling efficiency but also allows the frame to offer a slightly more supple base that can mitigate road feedback and reduce the effect of rider fatigue towards the end of a longer road race. This Felt FR Advanced has been equipped with a full Shimano Ultegra groupset for blissful, smooth, and agile shifting, ready for race day. Felt has also finished off all it's FR models with disc brakes to offer you superior control and stopping power when riding in all weather conditions. Lastly, this Felt FR has been fitted with a Shimano groupset to ensure you'll have reliable shifting all race long.
Meet the FR. There’s a reason it’s Felt's flagship race bike. Actually, there are dozens of reasons. But here’s all you need to know: If you’re looking for the best-handling, fastest-climbing, smoothest-riding road racing bike in the world, you’ve found it. The FR represents one half of the ideal union between bike and rider. Free of excess, it was painstakingly and obsessively honed for the needs of the most committed road cyclists, in order to win battles of will, attrition, and tactics on any racecourse. When you strip away unnecessary indulgences and gimmicks, all that is left is pure performance, embodied in a bike that is an extension of you.
The Carbon Layup
The FR is the world’s best-performing platform for all road racing conditions. The FR | Advanced is crafted from several unique types of carbon fibers. UHC (“Ultra Hybrid Carbon”) Advanced fiber is high-modulus, meaning that it’s incredibly stiff to maximize pedaling efficiency and handling feedback. But it’s not quite as stiff as its more expensive sibling, UHC Ultimate (which is found on the FR FRD | Ultimate model). However, this makes the UHC Advanced a better option for most cyclists, as it helps yield a slightly more supple chassis to mitigate road feedback and suppress rider fatigue towards the end of a long road race.
Made To Race
This is the bike of choice for both the men’s and women’s contingents of the Rally UHC Cycling pro continental team. The North American-based squad is amongst the most well-respected in the global pro peloton, thanks in large part to their professionalism. They’ve been steadily racking up race wins year in and year out while simultaneously developing the newest generation of cycling superstars. But they’re also a gutsy team that races each event with a tenacity like no other. The team’s primary goal for every race is to shake things up, rattle the nerves of their competitors, and give all of the fans lining the road or tuned in to their television sets the greatest show on two wheels.
