Orca's Equip wetsuit features a wide range of technologies that make the ideal combination when combined together for a wetsuit that's perfect for the natural swimmer. With an unmatched level of flexibility and buoyancy, the Equip allows you to swim with freedom, giving you the ability to glide through the water as you do naturally. The Equip has been created by Orca using 1.5 mm Yamamoto 39 panel material built into the arms for the ultimate flexible feel as you push through the water. By incorporating Yamamoto material into the suit, this high-end neoprene brings a high level of quality to the Equip wetsuit. The 39-panel material is highly adaptable and moves with your body, not only allowing for a comfortable fit but also allows the suit to stretch in-line with each phase of your swim stroke, ensuring nothing inhibits your ability in the water. Featuring Super Composite Skin (SCS) technology, the overall drag effect of this wetsuit is significantly reduced when underwater and less friction allows for more speed. Orca also designed the Equip with HYDROLITE technology that helps you remove the wetsuit at speed, allowing for a quick transition when racing. Finally, the Equip uses Infinity Skin lining to elongate your stroke, helping you to swim further with less energy.
TECHNOLOGIES
39 Cell
Yamamoto 39cell is an extremely flexible neoprene which supports an uninhibited natural swimming motion. 39cell extends to a 513% elongation rate, meaning this material is sure to move with you. Added benefits of zero water absorption and zero weight variation can mean only one thing: more speed. A fine balance between buoyancy and flexibility, 39cell is a durable material which will stand the test of time and distance, representing the best neoprene available in its class.
Super Composite Skin (SCS)
Super Composite Skin (SCS) is the leading triathlon wetsuit lining because of its capacity to reduce friction and to provide the best possible hydrodynamics. Orca uses the most innovative version of Nano SCS, developed by the Yamamoto company, to ensure top speed in the water. The friction coefficient in the water of Orca’s Nano SCS is 0.026, as compared to an average of 4.0 for the other wetsuits.
Hydrolite
The HydroLite panels help the wetsuit come off easier, for faster transitions. This technology, combined with the SCS coating, helps the water slide off your wetsuit, without impregnating it, considerably improving your hydrodynamics.
Infinity Skin
The inner Infinity Skin lining provides a feeling of absolute freedom. Designed based on a high-elasticity nylon that incorporates bamboo fibres, this technology is applied to the lining of our wetsuits to offer you greater flexibility with each stroke. This cloth maintains body heat longer, reduces body odour and the appearance of bacteria in your wetsuit. It is also made from natural eco-friendly materials to prevent the appearance of skin irritation and care for the environment.
