Product Information

Specialized Crux E5 Sport Men's Cyclocross Bike

Cyclocross has seen a huge boom in recent years. Riders taking on farmers fields, sand, thick mud, barriers and just about every form of winter weather condition you could think of in a race against the clock and the next best rider. Specialized love it and we love it too with a number of our staff members getting involved, it has even been rumoured that former TriStore employee Kris Fowler was once upon a time the best in Sussex! (We're not so sure about that). The Crux was designed specifically for this form of racing and the E5 Sport begins the Crux range, cost-effective and speed effective. Built with Specialized's E5 premium aluminium that is strong and responsive whilst remaining lightweight. A combination of SRAM and Praxis components means that it can deal with whatever the course has to throw at it. It's worth mentioning the Crux also makes for a brilliant winter training bike, tough and comfortable enough to deal with winter roads in their worst condition.

FEATURES

TECHNOLOGIES

Lightweight, Strong & Stable E5 Premium Aluminium

The frame was constructed from Specialized's E5 Premium aluminium in order to provide a stiff, lightweight, and responsive frame that's purpose-built to withstand the rigorous demands of cyclocross. You'll find that the tubing is also formed to make shouldering the bike a breeze, while the semi-compact geometry creates predictable handling and explosive accelerations in the absolute worst of conditions.

Fact Carbon Fork

The FACT carbon disc fork was designed to increase steering response and rider input for the tight turns and all-out efforts demanded of 'cross.

SRAM Apex Groupset

SRAM Apex 1 hydraulic disc brakes deliver plenty of stopping power, while the 1x drivetrain setup is easy to use.
