Product Information

Specialized Epic Hardtail Expert Mountain Bike

The brand-new Epic hardtail features a revised racing carbon chassis that weighs in at just 915g without compromising on strength or compliance. But the Expert comes into its own with a RockShox SID Brain fork that tells the difference between rider input and the imperfections of the trail. This means that you benefit from the highest efficiency possible when pushing it up the climbs or speeding down the descents. Also featured is SRAM's GX Eagle groupset that does away with dropping chains through a 1x setup. The 11x50T cassette provides plenty of range for all types of terrain. Finally, Roval's Control carbon rims help to reduce the overall weight of the bike even further whilst also adding strength, helping you to go further for longer.

FEATURES

TECHNOLOGIES

The game-changer

The Epic Hardtail sports one of the lightest production frames to date, but it's a hell of a lot more than that. Specialized designed the most capable and comfortable racing chassis ever created because you're not fast if you're being pummeled by the trail. It's a game-changer.

More control means more speed

Looking to ride faster? Who isn't? That's why Specialized relaxed the head angle of the Epic and lengthened the reach. The Epic retains a short wheelbase for deft handling yet offers more predictable steering and a centred rider position for increased control and speed on any trail.

The Epic's best features

  • One of the lightest and most capable carbon hardtail frames ever created.
  • SRAM's 12-speed GX Eagle groupset provides a wide gear range, letting you spin up the climbs.
  • RockShox SID Brain 29, with Brain-fade inertia valve.
