Specialized has designed the Pitch Sport to be trail-ready no matter what the terrain might through at you. Featuring Shimano's hydraulic disc brakes that give you the stopping power you need in all weather conditions and ensures control that's ready to rock the single-track trails. Specialized's A1 Premium Aluminum frame is incredibly strong and ready to endure the trails your adventures take you along. To optimise your riding experience, Specialized not only kitted out the Pitch Sport with a coil-sprung SR SunTour XCT 30 fork but also went the extra mile to make sure that your front suspension is specific to your size, allowing for ultimate comfort and feel. The front fork also has lockout limits that allow you to avoid any irritating rocking when you're riding along the smoother, flatter terrain. The Pitch Sport is also fitted with a Shimano 24-speed drivetrain that means you've got all the gears ready to get up those long and steep climbs as well as power past the fast downhills. Finally, Specialized designed this bike with 27.5" wheels to provide you with the sweet combination of fast-rolling speed and the ability to roll over obstacles easily whilst still being lightweight and agile to give you everything you need out on the trails.
Old-school strongmen have nothing on Specialized's A1 Premium Aluminum frame. But the Pitch Sport is in touch with its feelings too, offering a ride that’s as comfortable as it is durable, thanks to a lightweight proprietary alloy and Sport Trail 27.5 Geometry for sure handling.
Why 27.5-inch wheels exactly, not 27 or 28? Specialized chose 27.5 as a happy medium which offers most of the benefits of the older 26-inch size, like lightweight and agile, with those of the newer, oversize 29er version, like fast-rolling efficiency and easy rollover obstacles; giving you the best of both worlds.
It’s not enough to offer quality suspension like the coil-sprung SR SunTour XCT 30 fork on the Pitch Sport. Specialized also custom-design travel based on frame size to keep the geometry and ride quality consistent on overall sizes. Also featuring lockout that limits annoying bobbing on smooth terrain.
