The brand-new Roubaix Sport offers fantastic value for money in the Roubaix range. Featuring the same technologies and grade of carbon fibre as the Roubaix Comp priced at £3400 you can stay rest assured you're getting what you want from this bike. The re-engineered frame design has born new tube shapes, developed in Specialized's 6xParis Roubaix winning "Win-Tunnel". These tube shapes have been proven to be as aero as the Tarmac SL6 and they have also made extra room for tyre sizes up to 33mm so you can prepare for your own Hell of the North adventures. You will also find a brilliant new seat post called the Pavé. This seatpost really does pave the way into the future with the perfect balance of compliance and aerodynamics, taking the same D-shape design from the Tarmac with additional flex for improved smoothness. Finally, the updated Future Shock 1.5 suspension system delivers outstanding comfort whilst also reducing rider fatigue for a prolonged and faster performance.
Re-engineered Aero Frame
The new frame delivers compliance without compromise via the perfect balance of aerodynamics, light overall weight via a FACT 10r carbon construction, compliance, and Rider-First Engineering™. With tube shapes that were born in Specialized's FreeFoil Shape Library and validated in the "Win-Tunnel", the new Roubaix’s as aero as the Tarmac SL6. Meanwhile, to ensure the weight and ride quality, Specialized turned to a Rider-First Engineered™ design to deliver optimal stiffness and compliance across all sizes, from 44 to 64cm. Of course, the frame has shed some serious weight in the process. And to prep you for your own Hell of the North, we’ve made room for 33mm tires.
All-new Pavé seatpost
To go along with the new frame, Specialized has also developed a totally-new S-Works Pavé seatpost. Not only is it the first compliant seatpost that’s aerodynamic, but it also does so without any additional weight or contraptions. Starting with the same d-shape design found in the Tarmac, Specialized took its compliance a step further, building additional flex into the upper and developing a new drop-clamp design in the frame. In the end, it provides plenty of compliance, while staying perfectly balanced with the front end, delivering a sublime, smooth ride no matter how rough the road.
Smoother is Faster
With 20mm of rough-road-taming travel, the Future Shock 1.5 not only delivers a smoother, more comfortable ride, but it also reduces fatigue and increases speed over harsh terrain. The new Smooth Boot, meanwhile, enhances the aesthetics to bring a clean transition from the head tube to the stem.
