The brand-new Shiv TT has been designed by Specialized to be extremely light in weight, agile when it comes to handling and incredibly aerodynamic, cutting through the wind and making your time-trial or long course Triathlon that much faster whether its flat or features long and sharp climbs. Specialized took the UCI rule book and pushed each regulation to the limit for the ultimate combination of disc brakes that provides not only superior control but also makes the overall weight lighter and the fit of the bike more aerodynamic. The new Shiv TT is the most adjustable TT & Triathlon bike around yet doesn't compromise when it comes to aerodynamics thanks to Specialized's carefully engineered design. Fitted with SRAM's new RED eTAP AXS 1x drivetrain to ensure every performance gain that's possible is made to give you a fast and thrilling ride on race day. To in-keep with the theme of creating a TT & Tri bike that performs at the top, Specialized included the lightest and fastest two pairs of disc wheels around, the Roval 321 and the CLX 64s.
TECHNOLOGIES
Brand New Silhouette
As time-trial courses have become more technical and demanding, it's important to capitalize on years of R&D and pro rider feedback to create the fastest time trial bike—for all courses. From technical inner-city prologues, to rolling courses with steep grades, it's not just about making the fastest bike for a straight line. With this in mind Specialized cut the weight and greatly increased the handling characteristics of the Shiv TT with an all-new silhouette.
Redesigned Geometry
Fit was also one of the biggest design pillars of the new Shiv TT. With years of Retül data, and professional rider data, Specialized has completely re-done the geometry and front-end of the bike. The updated spacers, bridge, and armrests lock in fit, improving stability and confidence, while the one-piece bar and stem simplifies and lightens the weight of the front-end, balancing the overall feel.
The Benefits Of Disc
Disc brakes are now a necessity in TTs with variable weather, tight corners, and rough surfaces. Not only do they let you late-brake into corners and shift on the bars, but they also create a more stable chassis in corners and when accelerating. And don't worry, they don't lend themselves to any additional drag.
