Specialized created the Expert model to offer a class that is a cut above the rest in terms of the componentry that the bike is fitted with. The frame used is still the same asymmetrical Fact 11m carbon-fibre frame featured on other models that offer superb levels of stiffness and responsiveness whilst remaining lightweight and saving 20% efficiency in power transfer in comparison to the previous Stumpjumper frame. However, with the Expert, you can expect componentry designed to provide the complete package. RockShox's Pike fork offers 150mm of front suspension and with RockShox Deluxe RT3 at the back, you have three different compression options - Open, Pedal and Lock ensuring great performance on every terrain and trail.
Stumpjumper Frame and Features
The Stumpjumper's asymmetrical, FACT 11m carbon-fibre construction is lightweight, stiff, and ready to take on the trail. It's built with Specialized's 27.5 Trail Geometry, so it's just the right amount of both capable and comfortable. And with SWAT™ integration in the down tube, a threaded BB, easy cable routing, and an all-new chain silencer, it's ready for anything the trail, or you, throw at it.
With three different compression adjustments—open/pedal/lock—incredible damping performance, and our Rx Trail Tune, the RockShox Deluxe RT3 perfectly complements the Stumpjumper.
RockShox's Pike is known for its trail performance, and the RC found here has stiff stanchions, a Charger damper, and plenty of sensitivity.
