The short-travel (ST) Stumpjumper was introduced into the Specialized Stumpjumper range to replace the Camber range, most popular for offering a lightweight option to trail bikes. The frame featured on the ST uses the same asymmetrical design as the Stumpjumper comp alloy and carbon, however, offers 130mm of travel on the front and 120mm of travel at the rear instead of 150mm and 140mm. This is useful for those that don't need the extra travel for their adventures or local trails and as a result, makes the bike much more nimble to handle, sharper in accelerations and faster on long climbs. This model benefits from Fact 11m grade of carbon fibre which decreases the overall weight of the bike from the alloy version whilst improving how responsive and stiff the bike performs. Specialized have also completely re-designed the frame in terms of shape which was previously featured on the Stumpjumper to reduce the weight and improve the efficiency of power transfer. All in all the new ST Stumpjumper is everything you need to start discovering with comfort, speed and outrageous excitement.
The Stumpjumper ST's asymmetrical, FACT 11m carbon fibre construction is lightweight, stiff and ready for technical climbs and rowdy descents. It's built off of Specialized's 29 Trail Geometry, so it's both capable and comfortable. And with SWAT™ integration in the down tube, a threaded BB, easy cable routing, and a brand new chain silencer, it's ready for anything the trail, or you, throw at it.
The FOX DPS Performance rear shock features our Rx Trail Tune, ensuring that no matter the frame or wheel size, your bike is dialled-in perfectly.
