Specialized has designed the Tarmac Sport Disc edition to bring you an agile yet reliable ride. Whether you're looking to use daily or for competing, the Tarmac SL6, FACT 9r carbon frame gives you a lightweight and durable frameset as a great base for your riding. With a FACT 10r carbon fork, the Tarmac Sport also allows for smooth handling. Featuring improved aerodynamics, Specialized dropped the seatstays, altered the seat tube shaping and fork shaping too bring you a more slipstream position so you experience less drag when riding. Specialized has also included a larger tyre clearance in this Tarmac Sport edition, with the ability to take up to a 30mm tyre so that you're able to ride at lower pressure for reduced rolling resistance and more traction to improve control and comfort. With a Rider-First Engineered™ design, Specialized has ensured each frame size is built specifically to the rider's geometry which allows for a more comfortable ride and more agile handling. Finally, the Tarmac Sport is equipped with a Shimano 105 groupset allowing for precision in shifting along with superior braking power with hydraulic disc brakes that keep you in control in all weather conditions.
Specialized has updated the geometry, basing it on countless Retül data points and professional rider input. Featuring Specialized's Rider-First Engineered™ design that ensures every frame size has the same legendary climbing responsiveness and descending prowess you'd expect from a Tarmac. The FACT 9r frame is the perfect blend of value and performance.
With stiffness aiding in the aforementioned, compliance is also utilized for optimal riding quality. That's why Specialized dropped the seatstays, and altered the seat tube shape. They also added tyre clearance up to 30mm. This allows lower pressures for decreased rolling resistance, increased traction, and more comfort. Altogether, these additions still have the Tarmac riding like a true race-machine, but it also takes a bit of the sting out of road imperfections.
This Tarmac comes with a reliable spec that includes Shimano 105 mechanical shifting that are precise. With quick-stopping hydraulic disc brakes, the Tarmac offers you superior braking power and modulation, working exceptionally well in wet weather, and offering a very, very minor weight addition.
