Whilst the S-Works Tarmac is something pretty special, not all of us have the wallet for it and Specialized know that. However, that doesn't mean we don't want a great bike at a great price. The Expert features the same FACT 10r carbon fibre frame as the Tarmac Pro SL6, shedding an incredible 20% than its predecessor but not only that the Expert is kitted out with the brand new Shimano Ultegra 11 speed 8000 groupset that is as reliable, durable and lightweight as everyone has come to expect from the Ultegra series. To top it off the Expert can fit up to 30mm tyres as well as Roval SLX 24 wheels that offer a superb training/racing combination.

To get the weight around 950 grams, Specialized utilized advanced aerospace composite optimization software to revolutionize the construction and layup of our new FACT 10r carbon. It's the most advanced material and schedule they've ever made—the shape, schedule, and material optimization sheds nearly 200 grams. That's right, a 20% reduction in frame weight—the perfect recipe for your next hill climb PR.
Wheels & Groupset
Turbo Cotton tyres on a Roval SLX 24 rim provides the perfect lightweight training/racing combination. As well as this the Tarmac Expert is spec'd with the brand new Shimano Ultegra 8000 11 speed groupset that is not only super lightweight but one of, if not the most, popular groupset on the market due to its durable+reliable combo.
Compliance
A seatpost, designed by Specialized, that builds compliance into the upper 120mm where clamping doesn't happen features seat stays that are dropped and an altered seat tube shape.
Tyre Clearance
The new Tarmac can now fit up to 30mm tyres providing true versatility on your rides.
