Yeti cycles first came about in 1985 as Mountain bikes were first coming onto the scene and quickly becoming popular for their ability to take you anywhere you wanted. They have and continue to produce the highest end of Mountain bikes ensuring their bikes are of the finest quality, backed by their "no-nonsense" lifetime warranty, and feature the latest technologies being produced by their designers. A lot has been made of Yeti's Switch Technology, now renamed Switch Infinity and rightly so, designed in partnership with Fox suspension systems, Switch Infinity features a "translating pivot" that means you have full control of the rear end for difficult and technical turns and trails. The seat tube on the SB100 has been redesigned so that it is completely uninterrupted, allowing for a longer dropper post as well as looking swish. Finally, the geometry Yeti used on the SB100 blurs the line between XC and trail with a front longer centre and shorter chainstays which balances uphill efficiency as well as allowing you to fly down them. At the TriStore, we deal with Shimano, SRAM and Rotor parts as well as 3T, Easton and Cervelo's own components with wheels manufacturers including Zipp, Hunt, Mavic and Specialized. The world, as they say, is your oyster.
Re-Designed Switch Infinity
The Switch Infinity was re-designed specifically for 100mm of travel, it's lighter and tucks neatly behind the seat tube. Pretty rad. There is no performance difference between this and the other switch mechanism. The SB100 switch utilizes the same proven FOX Racing bushings, seals, and Kashima stanchions as the switch found on other models.
No more gunk on your bottle
The water bottle fits comfortably inside the front triangle, where you might be used to looking for it. It took considerable effort to accommodate a bottle, optimize stand-over and meet our kinematic expectations, but we knew it was important to you. So we finally did it.
Uninterrupted seat tube
The new Switch Infinity design and placement are not only visually pleasing creating classic frame lines, but the uninterrupted seattube also allows space for longer dropper seatposts.
Genre killing geometry
Genre killing geometry. Inspired by going fast downhill, but balanced to provide uphill efficiency. The SB100 blurs the lines between XC and Trail. A longer front centre with shorter chainstays and a slacker head angle find the right combination of up and down. This design also allows for an uninterrupted seatpost, to fit a longer dropper. Plus it looks killer.
